Will I have to throw my stuff away?
No! It’s your stuff and it’s always your say. We will, however, be very selective (and sometimes aggressive) throughout the sorting process. For some this can be very emotional and take time. It usually gets easier as we go along. We will work through the hard decisions using some guidelines and figure out what’s best for you, your family, and your space. We strive to recycle and reuse as much as possible.

How much work will I be expected to contribute?
Again, this is up to you. We will work as a team especially through the sorting process. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, you may just need some simple coaching. Some clients do it all themselves once a plan has been created. But if you are a little intimidated by the whole idea, we will be there with you each step of the way. We do ask that you participate as much as possible so you can learn to keep organized once we are done.

What if I’m embarrassed to let you or anybody else see all my clutter and stuff?
Don’t worry, I have seen worse. My services are completely confidential – always.

Once I get my space organized, how do I know it will stay that way?
Make no mistake; clutter is a force to be reckoned with. Finding your personal organizing style is key. That’s why we customize a system to your way of doing things. We make it work for you, then we follow up after you’ve tested it out. Staying organized starts out as a conscious choice, but soon turns into a habit.

Will you organize my husband’s office or my son’s workshop?
Not unless it’s his idea and he participates. No one can organize for someone else, only with them. The client must want to get organized and work with me to develop a system. Otherwise it just doesn’t work for them, for their type of brain and personality.

I used to be organized but now everything’s a mess. What happened?
This is a very typical scenario. You’re basically an organized person but you had a baby or you changed jobs or downsized. Maybe a family crisis threw you for a loop and now you are overwhelmed. Getting back on track is the best thing you can do for yourself. Together we will recreate the order and calm that you want to have back in your life.
